Camp Miriam runs two three-week sessions for children who have finished grades 3 – 9. There are two one-week sessions for first time campers who have finished grades 2 & 3. A camper who has finished grade 3 or 4 is welcome to register for two weeks in either first or second session and choose to stay a third week while at camp.

For campers who have completed grade 11 there is a leadership training program (Madatz) which they are welcome to apply for.

Funding is available for first time US campers in grades 5, 6 and 7 who are from a Western state and do not attend a Jewish Day School.  First time campers could receive $1000 US. For more information click on the link to the right.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN REGISTERING YOUR CHILD?

In order for a child to be considered registered the camp office must receive:


1.    Two page registration , payment and privacy form, which is complete and signed.  Please provide all requested information, including email addresses and all relevant payment info.  Clear handwriting will be appreciated.   
2.    A deposit of $500.00 for each camper ($100 of which is non-refundable)
    -    Cheques made out to Habonim Dror Camp Miriam
    -    If paying by Visa, complete information on payment form

General Registration Policies:
   
1.   The camp fees include: transportation from Vancouver to Camp Miriam and return, laundry, Camp Miriam, T-shirt, camp picture, all applicable GST, and one year of membership dues for Habonim Dror.

2.    No child will be permitted to attend Camp Miriam without fully completed medical and camper information forms, which will be sent in the early spring.  The medical must include the results of a physician’s exam conducted in Spring 2010 and a current health insurance policy number. (Non-Canadians should get travel insurance if you do not have travel coverage with your regular plan.)

3.    Applications for partial sessions will not be accepted, except for the optional two-week Amelim (grades 3-4) program and one week option for first time campers in grades 2 - 3.

4.    Cancellation of registration after April 26, 2010 will result in a forfeiture of the $500 deposit.  However, any payments made before April 26 towards fees, excluding the deposit, are 100% refundable if registration is cancelled.

5.    There will be no refund of fees for a child who is withdrawn or sent home for any reason, once the camp session has started. 

6.    Applications for registration for any camper previously sent home from camp will be considered on a case by case basis. 

7.    Parents are financially responsible for all medical and extraordinary dietary expenses during the camp season.

8.     A $25.00 service fee will be applied to NSF cheques.

9.    A portion of the fee is tax deductible and a receipt will be issued before the end of the legal year. 

10. POST DATED PAYMENTS BY CHEQUE OR VISA ARE WELCOME.  HOWEVER, ANY PAYMENTS MADE AFTER JUNE 15 WILL HAVE TO INCLUDE THE 7% HST TAX.

The Camp Committee will hold an Open House on May 23, 2010 to which families are invited for an opportunity to see the camp and meet some of the staff.  Camp will be open from 11AM to 2PM and lunch will be provided.  There will be no Visitors’ Day during the summer for campers who stay one session.  Details of the Open House for Madatz and two-session Bonim will be provided at the beginning of the summer.
